United By Fate debut menswear collection launch party
United By Fate is a project that I’ve been working on for the last year. The debut menswear collection is made up of limited edition leather belts (handmade in Wales), along with pocket, printed and basic t-shirts and sweatshirts – all finished and printed in Britain. It takes inspiration from the outdoors, the ocean, the city, free-living culture and a touch of British spirit. You’ll see elements of classic menswear, plus touches of vintage skate, surf and workwear. In fact, if you have a minute to spare, why don’t you give The Story a quick read? It’s succinct, I promise.
The idea was to kick things off in style and it seemed only too fitting to throw a party to celebrate the last 9+ months of work. Inviting friends, their friends, interested people and of course; the incredible group of people who’ve made this all possible through their support, inspiration and talent.
What were the ingredients of the event?
Amazing people: As mentioned above. You guys all rock.
Great music: Provided by the talents of Dirty Leaves, Suffice Plustwo and the hilarious tiger-onesie wearing Ray Guns Look Real Enough – who between them covered off alt-folk, hip-hop and comedy mashups.
Ice cold beer: Courtesy of the generous folks at Atticus Lager. Thanks guys!
A pop-up United By Fate shop: This was a party to celebrate a clothing label launch, after all. The night was the perfect opportunity to show off the garments in the debut collection, chat to you all about the gear and finally sell some to those who’ve been waiting patiently for the release. The response was great, thank you to everyone who grabbed T-shirts, Belts and Sweatshirts. Send us photos of you wearing the gear to email@example.com or via our Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
An unusual venue: London’s 22-26, managed by the lovely Iga, is a unique space – part cavernous tunnel, part white walled gallery. It’s quirky and intimate and there have been loads of great comments about the space from those of you who were there.
Everyone pulled together to dress the space out with live music, pop-up shop, beers on ice and videos projected on the wall. The turnout was great and the vibe was really awesome too; with old and new friends as well as loads of brand new faces to meet. If you came along, thank you, and if you missed it, don’t worry it was too much fun to not do again in the future.
You can view all the photos from the event and get tagging right here.
